India has pledged to provide Rs 27.62 million for the construction of a school building in western Nepal.
The Indian embassy here signed an MoU in this regard with the District Development Committee of Arghakhanchi area and Shri Argharajasthal Secondary School, for which the building is to be constructed.
The new facilities to be provided to the school which was established in 1959 with the Indian assistance would create improved environment for learning and contribute to the further development of the education sector in the district, an Indian embassy release said.
In addition to the school building, work is going on for two other projects in Arghakhanchi district with the Indian grant of Rs 16.38 million.
India has also gifted three ambulances to various organisations in the district for health care services.
