In a major initiative to upgrade educational standards in Sirsa, the Haryana government has decided to set up digital classrooms in 71 senior secondary schools of the district.
Digital classrooms of these state government-run schools will be equipped with all facilities required to teach different subjects through various softwares, an official spokesman said here.
The classrooms will have digital boards, computers, projectors and other modern devices, he said adding, the project is worth Rs 2 crore.
The spokesman said that under the Backward Region Grant Fund (BRGF) scheme, the district planning committee had approved the construction of digital classrooms.
Under BRGF, the district will get Rs 16.52 crore this year for development works.
