Saurashtra Vyapar Udhyog Mahamandal (SVUM) is hosting a mega IT show where leading IT companies are expected to take part to explore IT business opportunities in the region.
SVUM president Parag Tejura said, the three-day show, beginning from May 25 at Race course ground here, is being supported by NASSCOM, Gujarat Informatics Limited (GIL), Gujarat Technological University (GTU) and Gujarat Electronics and Software Industries Association (GESIA).
On April 24, the SVUM had written a letter to the state government and the Centre demanding setting up of an IT park in Rajkot.
“Rajkot has already become an education hub and provides large number of IT engineers and graduates every year,” Tejura said. “The show will serve as a first major initiative in the field of IT, where all stakeholders will come under one roof to explore IT business opportunities,” he said.
