Bhubaneswar: JBC Academy of Art and Animation, which recently opened in Bhubaneswar, aims to help overcome the shortage of animators in the country.
Sudhansu Deo, director, JBC Academy of Art and Animation, said that the organisation will provide a one-year diploma, three-year degree and two-year management courses in animation.
The fees are as follows: Rs 1.6 lakh for a diploma, Rs 4.5 lakh for a degree and Rs 2.75 lakh for a management course.
The institute promises to offer updated infrastructure, best faculty in the industry, computer labs and production experience for the students, said its vice-president Arijit Mitra.
The college has 30 students in each stream, the student and teacher ratio is 5:1, he added.
As the demands of the animators are huge in national and international platform, Mitra was very optimistic about the 100 per cent placement.
JBC plans to open colleges in metros like Delhi, Bangalore and Mumbai and other towns like Rourkela and Cuttack in Orissa in future.
