New b-school in Bengal

Kolkata: Jyotirmoy School of Business (JSB) started operations with the first batch of students taking post-graduate diploma in management on August 6.
 
Announcements about scholarships and a stipend for working professionals were made during the inauguration.
 
The programme is full-time and residential. It is recognised by AICTE and has an intake of 60 students.
 
Dr S N Ray, director, IISW&BM was the chief guest. Swami Puratananda Ji Maharaj, vice principal, Ramkrishna Mission College, Narendrapur, was also present. Dr Sydney To, Diplomat, Embassy of Seychelles at Beijing, was guest of honour.
 
The b-school is an initiative of Jyotirmoy Education & Welfare Foundation located in Jyotirmoy Knowledge Park, Kalikapur, Sonarpur. The foundation has already established a school as well as a law college affiliated to University of Calcutta & Bar Council of India on the campus. JBS has signed an MOU with China’s Dali University.
