While making a list, the options are aplenty: first is choosing among 33 medical colleges,40 dental colleges, 186 engineering colleges, 20 ayurveda colleges, 11 homoeopathy colleges, four naturopathy and yoga classes and two unani colleges, depending on what the candidate is eligible for. In these colleges, multiple courses can be selected.
Say, a candidate's list is: Option 1: E003EC (E for Engineering, 003 being the college code and EC being course code for Electronics and Communication); Option 2: E003ME; Option 3: M001ME (M for Medical); Option 4: M002ME. As the allotment starts first in medical seats, assume that the candidate is given Option 3 – medical in college code 001. When the engineering selection starts, and if seat E003ME is available, the software will automatically select the seat, while removing the candidate's allotment for the medical seat, which is lower in the priority list. The medical seat is then put in a pool, available for the next candidate.
For those applying through a category, the software first selects seats in General Merit category, and then offers seats when the allotment for the category begins.
