Dr. Naresh Chandra Pro VC of Mumbai University

K Sankaranarayanan, Maharashtra Governor and Chancellor of Universities in the state, today appointed Dr Naresh Chandra as the Pro Vice Chancellor of the Mumbai University.

Chandra is at present Principal of Birla College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Kalyan. His appointment will come into effect from the date on which he assumes the charge as the Pro Vice Chancellor.

His term will be co-terminus with the term of office of the Vice Chancellor, or till he attains the age of 60 years, whichever is earlier.

He had served as Pro Vice Chancellor of the university between April 17, 1997 and May 4, 2000.
