The Tripura government has set an example for the rest of the country by introducing human rights as one of the subjects in school curricula.
The subject will be incorporated for students between Class VI to Class VIII as part of social education subjects to make people aware of their legal and constitutional rights. The State Council of Educational Research and Training have published the text book titled 'Human Rights in Social and Political life', to be introduced in the current academic year.
