The Banaras Hindu University plans to revamp and open new departments in the university with a proposal of Rs. 3800 crore.
University Vice Chancellor Lalji Singh told the media that the working committee held a meeting in New Delhi yesterday and discussed the proposal for improving its infrastructure and opening up new departments under a five-decade vision plan.
As per the proposal the university will construct a 4,000-rooms hostel, new schools for science and management education and a separate cancer hospital. Residential buildings for around 1,000 employees will also be constructed.
