University of Southampton's School of Mathematics is inviting applications for its new BSc programme in mathematics, operational research, statistics and economics (MORSE).
The University has launched a new programme BSc MORSE (mathematics, operational research, statistics and economics) - to provide students with a broad-based programme covering topics in mathematics, operational research, statistics and economics. These different topics are related and rely on using mathematical methods to formulate, model, analyse and solve a wide range of problems.
The Course commencing on 27th september, 2012 is a three-year programme and will be following a semester pattern. The fee for the programme for the academic session of 2012-13 is £11,600.
To be part of the programme, candidates need to be under A-level grades. The standard offer is 'AAA' (or 'AAB' with further mathematics) or equivalent, including grade 'A' in A-level mathematics. In addition, applications from candidates offering non-A-level qualifications with an appropriate mathematical content are also welcome.
Applicants with a strong academic background and a clear commitment to mathematics will be considered for an offer based on the quality of their UCAS application.
Applications can be made online at the UCAS website, www.ucas.com. Candidates will be asked for an institution code name and number. University's code name is SOTON and the number is S27. The application fee is £21 if candidates are applying to more than one university or college, or for more than one programme; it is £11 for a single programme at one institution.
The last date for submission of application forms is June 30.
