Increase in OBC quota by Delhi government for higher education

The Delhi government has increased the reservation quota from 21 percent to 27 percent for OBC in higher education.The total reservation in higher education now stands at 49.5 percent with the SCs having 15 percent and STs 7.5 percent. In a meeting of the state cabinet chaired by Delhi chief Minister Sheila Dikshit the decision to increase the OBC quota was taken. The reservation will come into effect after a notification by the government.
