Education Fair by British Council in May

The city will witness an education fair in May organised by British Council to create awareness about opportunities in UK. Mr. L.Dhanasekharan, British Council head education (South India) speaking at the seminar organised by British Council at Vijaywada said that the fair was being organised in view of the response generated in Hyderabad education fair. According to Mr. Dhanasekhar there are ample opportunities in UK with as many as 125 Universities and 600 Colleges offering various courses in different fields. He further stated that as per the new scheme introduced by the UK government students will be allowed to take up jobs and a student at graduate level could earn upto 20000 pounds per annum.This scheme will be implemented from April 20th onwards.

The misconception among students that it was very difficult to secure a visa for UK was not true stated the British Council Head Education. The students could visit websites like www.ukvisas.gov.uk, www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/studyintheuk, and www.vfs.uk-in.com to know about the visa to UK. The other useful websites include: www.educationuk-in.org, www.ukcisa.org.uk, www.ucas.ac.uk.

The Manager of British Council Education (South India) Mr. Nim Bahadur R said that a seminar would be organised in Guntur on Friday.
