Kolkata: Can’t get a job after passing out? Alchemy Leadership School (ALS) pays graduates Rs 5000 a month for a year until they get a job.
“Students will be eligible for a sum of Rs 5000 per month from the institute after completing their leadership journey and until the time they are placed in an organisation or for a period of one year whichever is earlier,” said Sanjay Bansal, chairman, ALS.
ALS, which is affiliated to Punjab Technical University, places emphasis on the “journey of leadership”.
After a soft launch last year, the institute revamped itself as a specialised business school on July 29.
The institute offers a two-year full time course for Rs 3.5 lakh on its Sector V campus.
“We focus on leadership. We believe that every ordinary person has some extraordinary qualities, and we try to recognise and nurture them,” said Major (Retd) Indrajit Banerjee, Director of Alchemy Leadership School.
ALS boasts of a USP of producing industry-ready MBA’s in HR and OD, which they believe not many B-schools in the Eastern region are engaged with.
Interestingly, ALS would be having an annual Alchemy Leadership Awards, which will include a series of games and stimulation exercises that will help the students (graduates under 25) unearth their leadership abilities. Students can participate for free with exciting prizes such as laptops, digital cameras and i-pods to be won.
“We keep hearing about leaders and leadership, but more often than not, it’s about leading others — but here it’s about leading yourself,” said Sanjay Roy Chowdhury, Managing Director, Gray Matters Consulting Pvt Ltd, knowledge partner for ALS.
They will provide a separate course on HR consulting as well. Students are required to sit for CAT, GMAT or other appropriate entrance tests before appearing for ALS’ own set of exams. Right from the beginning, the students will get to interact with industry experts, handle live projects and internships will be provided.
