British Council today held a one-day professional development workshops for English language teachers and trainers here to improve the standard of English communication in cities across India.
"The aim of the workshop is to provide teachers and trainers with innovative classroom management and provide a range of materials and services available through British Council and English Language Teachers Association of India (ELTAI)," Project Manager Roadshows, British Council, India, Daphne Pawelec said.
The workshop consist of five interactive workshops each of one-hour duration conducted by ELT professionals from British Council and ELTAI.
The workshop, attended by more than 200 English teachers from all over Meghalaya and nearby areas, was held at Lady Keane College here.
Similar workshops have been conducted in Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Bilaspur, Solapur, Karur, Suri, Chandigarh, Lucknow and Thrissur.
