A delegation from Tianjin University of Technology in China visited the campus of Mumbai University and Welingkar Institute of Management Development and Research here.
The delegation, headed by Prof Ma Jianbiao, President, Tianjin University of Technology, included Yuan Zhihao, Dean, Schools of Materials Science and Engineering, Wang Jinsong, Dean, School of Computer and Communication and Gao Yongge, Vice-Dean, College of International Education, Zhang Chong.
Rajpal Hande, Director, Board of College and University Development, University of Mumbai and Uday Salunkhe, Group Director, Welingkar Institute, were present at the event held on Thursday, a release said.
The team also visited the campus of Mumbai University. Ma said China is keen to have cooperation with the nations that have established high levels of academic excellence in the fields of nanotechnology, computers, innovation, and exchange programme along with special thrust on research and development.
The exchange programmes will enable students to attune themselves to a multicultural atmospherics as they transcend physical boundaries, he said.
Salunkhe acknowledged the way Chinese academia is evolving to meet the rising demands of global workforce along with the due importance it gives to innovation, experimentation, application and R&D.
