To bridge the gap between classroom learning and industry demands, three new short-term courses - software engineering foundation-ERP , embedded systems foundation, and relationship officer foundation for banks - have been introduced for the IT/BFSI (banking, financial services and insurance) sector.
"In a country where about 3.1 million students graduate every year and only 30% of them are employable, there is a need to bridge the growing skill gaps. Our courses are for those who can be trained and equipped with skills required by industry," says Madhu Jalan, senior vicepresident , marketing and programme development, TalentSprint. The three-month courses will cover areas such as developing software, programming for embedded systems, building customer relationships, etc, that will increase employability of the aspirants. The courses will be a blend of 70% technical knowledge and 30% communication and domain knowledge.
