The mark sheets of all students of the University of Madras will be available in digital format in four months, said vice-chancellor G.Thiruvasagam.
Inaugurating the student grievance redress centre and counselling and guidance centre on Friday, he said the tender for conversion of the mark sheet data into digital format would be settled shortly. The students could obtain the mark sheets at the click of a mouse, he added.
The students' grievance redress centre would have separate applications for Ph.D-related issues too.
The problems would be sorted out within the stipulated time of submission of the application at the students grievance redress centre.
A separate application form has been provided for certificate-related issues. Provisional certificate, degree certificate, duplicate degree certificate, name correction, migration certificate and genuineness certificate will be issued to students through the centre.
The students need not go directly to the Sections at the University office for getting the required documents.
At the career guidance and counselling centre, experts will offer guidance to the students who seek assistance in making a decision on a future career option.
