The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Young Indians (Yi), the youth wing of CII, has launched a lecture series on 'Winning Techpreneur' in collaboration with the C K Shah Vijapurwala Institute of Management (CKSVIM).
The seven-lectures series where eminent speakers from the industry will take part started on Monday and will end on January 31.
The lecture series has been designed to help aspiring entrepreneurs identify, evaluate, and obtain control over business opportunities that they can successfully exploit by starting new businesses. CII will also act as mentor and conduct hand holding activities for projects and business plans of budding entrepreneurs if they are found viable.
Yi and CII are organising this series in connection to 'India@75 vision' and Yi's commitment at the G20 Young Entrepreneurs Summit to promote entrepreneurship as a prime job creation tool.
"Recent experiences indicate that the economic progress of few countries particularly the developed countries is due to the contribution of large number of small entrepreneurs employing less than 50 persons in their establishments. We need such entrepreneurs in large numbers in our country for developing and transforming village clusters, cities and states into sustainable economic units," Anish Patel, Yi Baroda chapter chair told TOI on Tuesday.
Topics like technology entrepreneurship, developing entrepreneurial instinct, commercializing innovation and preparing business plans will be covered during the event.
