1267 graduate teachers to be appointed in middle schools

TN Chief Minister Jayalalitha announced appointment of 1,267 graduate teachers to all middle schools in the state under the 'Education for all scheme', besides alloting Rs 36.17 Crore for upgrading infrastructure facilities.

An official release said Jayalalithaa announced that 831 graduate teachers would be appointed to 831 upgraded middle schools and 436 graduate teachers to 219 upgraded middle schools in Tamil Nadu under the scheme.
   
As part of enabling students to learn without any difficulties, Jayalalithaa also issued orders to allot Rs 36.17 Crore to upgrade infrastructure, including fixing of new chairs and benches for government run higher secondary and secondary schools, the release said.
