The former pro-vice-chancellor of Indra Gandhi National Open University (Ignou), Parvin Sinclair has been appointed as director, National Council of Educational Research and Training’s (NCERT).
Sinclair who took charge from early this month will now serve as the director of NCERT for five years. Sinclair has a PhD in mathematics from the University of Mumbai and work experience in the field of educational research and training since 1979.
With more than 32 years of experience, Sinclair has worked in various administrative appointments at Ignou like the pro-vice-chancellor, director, school of sciences, director of the school of computer and information sciences and coordinator of several programmes and courses.
