Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav said here on Sunday if voted to power, his party would provide free irrigation, education and medicine to people. In his first rally after the announcement of poll dates, the former UP chief minister also promised allowances for unemployed youth.
The SP chief was to launch his campaign from Azamgarh on January 1, but couldn't do so because of rain. On Sunday, before he took the dais here, his party got a shot in the arm when Rashtriya Lok Dal leader and ex-UP minister Anuradha Chowdhary and MP Shahid Siddiqui joined SP.
