"The Medical services recruitment board" in spite of TN government’s repeated assurances is yet to be established. It is to appoint 16,000 employees to fill the vacancies in the state medical services.
Generally, lot of medical schemes are being implemented by Tamilnadu state government including establishment of a medical college in each district of the state, opening primary health centres in backward areas and functioning mobile hospitals etc..
At the same time, deficit of medical employees, severly affects the proposal of the government. TN health minister Vijay announced about the establishment of MSRB at state assembly in the last session. However, after completion of 4 months of announcement, appropriate steps have not been taken so far.
According to a senior health department officer, "extra few months will be taken to form Medical services recruitment board and it will be situated in DMS campus. We have provided the vacancy details for medical servants in state's hospitals as government has ordered to do it".
"We are promptly undertaking measures for establishing MSRB. After consulting with Chief Minister, the final date of opening the organisation will be decided. No doubt! MSRB will start its function soon" health minister Vijay said.
