IGNOU announces admission for course in dispensing optics

IGNOU announced admission for its six months online certificate course in dispensing optics programme.
 
"The main objective of this programme is to develop critically needed manpower in the area of primary eye care/optical/paramedical and to improve the quality of life of visually disabled people who does not have access to basic vision testing and visual aids," said an IGNOU release.
 
The last date for submission of applications is December 15 without late fees.
 
The programme also aims to educate opticians and impart specific skills in delivering quality and consistent eye care to people and enhance existing skill sets of eye care professionals as well as opticians, the release said.
