XLRI Jamshedpur organised its national-level annual consulting conference INSIGHT 2011 at the WWF Auditorium in New Delhi. The theme of INSIGHT 2011 was ‘Sustainability - The outlook of business and government’, which is a burning issue in today’s context.
The conference was organised by the student executive members of Consulting and Research Undertaking at XLRI (CRUX) who brought together the top leaders from the industry and some of the brightest minds from the top B-schools of the country in a melting pot of ideas, opinions, debates and discussions.
The eminent panel of speakers for the event were distinguished industry people, such as Anand Nayak (head, ITC social development initiatives & director, ITC Infotech), Ajay Mathur (director-general, bureau of energy efficiency and joint winner of Nobel Peace Prize, 2007), Ganesh Shermon (partner & country head, KPMG Advisory Services), Santosh Anoo (principal, Deloitte Consulting India Pvt Ltd), Ravi Singh (CEO, WWF India).
Others present were Shankar Venkateswaran (director, SustainAbility), Suresh Babu (director – River Basins & Water policy), Satish Kumar (vice-president, Schneider Electric India), Indra Guha (associate director, E&Y), PS Narayan (vice president and head - Sustainability, WIPRO), Narayan Swamy (director, CITIBANK NA) and Dr Tata L Raghu Ram (chairperson – Strategic Management Area, XLRI).
The other important events at Insight were the Sustainability White Paper series and Green Campus Footprint Awareness Drive and Drishtikon – The National-Level Sustainability Challenge (case-study competition) which saw enthusiastic participation from a number of B-schools. The competition was judged by professor Munish Thakur.
