In a bid to reform appointment of teachers in schools, the Tamilnadu govt. has ordered to conduct written exam(Teachers eligibility test-TET) and certificate verification for appointing PG teachers.
According to the GO released by school education dept. secretary Sridhar: "Untill now, PG teachers were appointed through seniority, based on employment registration.
Now, the govt. has decided to appoint PG assistants through writing test and scrutinizing their certificates similar to the selection process of primary teachers and secondary grade teachers".
Earlier, the state government had announced the appointment details of primary teachers and secondary grade teachers.
This order, resolves the confusion that prevailed over the appointment of PG teachers. Shortly, 1500 new PG teachers are expected to be appointed through this new system.
