Henceforth, marksheets to carry Bar codes

With purpose of curbing fake mark sheets, the TN government initiates to imprint Bar codes along with the candidate's photo in +2 mark sheets.

In the recent past, lot of fake +2 marksheets have been exposed which were procured for thousands of rupees. Apart from this, cases of name changing in marksheets have also been pulged. This incident sent shock waves across the state, after which the government decided to take firm steps to curtail such malpractices among students.

Last year, embossing the photos of candidates on the mark sheets was proposed to be executed from the end of this academic year. Now, additionally, the state has decided to imprint Bar codes on the mark sheets of the candidates to avoid any sort of foul play.

Furthermore, to avoid impersonation in writing exams, affixing photo of student with his/her name in attendance slip at the examination hall will be put in to practice from the coming academic year.
