ABI-TNAU to take up corporate farming in African countries

Agri Business Incubator-Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (ABI-TNAU) has recently conducted a suitability study in Guinea in Africa for taking up corporate farming of rice under 10,000 acres.

ABI-TNAU has set up an incubator company, Top Worth Group of Companies, in this regard and would sign an MoU with the Guinean government next month, TNAU Vice-Chancellor Murugesa Bhoopathi has said.
 
He was speaking at a training programme on 'strengthening capacity of UniBRAIN Agri Busines Innovative Incubator Consortia and Partners' on Friday last, a TNAU release said.
 
Representatives of African Countries such as Uganda, Zamiba, Mali, Kenya and Ghana were present.
   
With lot of opportunities in agricultural sector, African countries were well endowed with vast land resources, rainfall and water resources, Bhoopathi said.
