The importance of ultrasound in emergency and critical care will be highlight of a health congress beginning tomorrow at AIIMS here.
"The 7th world congress in ultrasound in emergency and critical care will highlight about improving emergency and critical-care medicine by incorporating 'point-of-care' ultrasound into clinical practice as well as use of ultrasound in primary care," AIIMS said in a release.
This ultrasound device is used in critical situations such as emergency department, ICU, trauma centres to take care of patients in 'critical' situations. Titled "From FAST to FAST-ABCDE: toward a New Multi- focused Ultrasound Paradigm for Trauma Care", the congress will end on November 27.
"We also propose to highlight the use of ultrasound in undergraduate curriculum as well as structured curriculum in post graduate courses," the release said.
