The Indian Institutes of Management (IIM) along with Prometric, a trusted provider of market-leading test development and test delivery solutions, today announced the successful culmination of the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2011. A total of 2,05,345 candidates registered for the 2011 test, an increase over the 2010 figure.
The test was conducted over a 20-day testing window (October 20–November 18 2011) in 68 test centres across 36 cities. In order to expand access and better meet the needs of candidates, test centres in three new cities – Bhilai, Jamshedpur and Jammu were added this year.
“We are happy to announce the successful completion of CAT 2011,” said Soumitra Roy, MD, Prometric India. “This is the third year of the computer-based CAT and we are pleased to have conducted the test in a way that exceeded global standards. A successful computer-based testing programme like the CAT has been built on a strong foundation of operational excellence, and the ability to adapt and apply global best practices depending on the local environment. The CAT 2011 results are expected to be announced on January 11 2012 and candidates will be able to log in and view their results on the CAT website www.catiim.in.
