Great Lakes Institute of Management has joined with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) to create an innovative learning initiative called ‘Collaborative Learning'
This initiative takes the corporate-campus interface to the next level.
This programme is aimed at creating an experiential learning platform for the talent pool at Great Lakes, leveraging the expertise and competency models that TCS has put together to build role and business-ready managers.
TCS would benefit in return by working closely with the faculty of Great Lakes, and leveraging the resources at Great Lakes for research, executive development and other corporate initiatives.
The launch also marked the beginning of the first programme on ‘Experiential Learning' in building competencies in the areas of Go-to-Market Strategies and Business Development.
Talking on the occasion, Bala Balachandran, founder and dean, Great Lakes Institute of Management emphasised on the strong relationship between the two pioneering Indian Institutions and said, “The mission of Great Lakes is to create business-ready managers, and this innovative initiative is indeed the next best practice in line with the mission.”
This programme in India is offered as a well-structured intervention with live projects, mentoring and facilitation, evaluation and co-certification apart from competency-building workshops. The program is designed to develop competencies that are applicable across various industrial sectors, thereby offering a truly global learning program.
Many senior business leaders from TCS will be involved in the project mentoring phase; and the live project design supports an ecosystem of close interaction between the Great Lakes faculty and senior TCS leaders, thereby building the collaboration at various levels.
