Amid speculation over her health condition, Congress President Sonia Gandhi had an interaction with school children from across the country here on the occassion of National Education Day.
In the half an hour long interaction, Gandhi, who wore a salwar kameej, appeared cheerful and in good health.
The event, which was open to camerapersons, took place two days after Gandhi had to cancel her visit to Uttarakhand on Thursday due to fever.
"The Congress President is suffering from fever. Her visit to Uttarakhand has been cancelled," AICC General Secretary Janardan Dwivedi had told PTI on Thursday.
Her speech targeting BJP and Anna Hazare, was, however read out in her absence at the public rally there.
Gandhi's skipping the meeting had led to speculation about her health and her possible re-visit to the US where she had undergone a surgery in August this year.
There were also speculation that Rahul Gandhi may be elevated to the post of Working President or become even President keeping in mind her health condition.
