There is need for providing quality education to every child in India whether it is offered in government or private schools. This will ensure a corruption-free society, prosperity of individual and of the nation, felt Loksatta Party founder, Jayaprakash Narayan.
Speaking at “Spardhaa 11” - the annual techno-management fest of Nidhi Quiz Club of Sreenidhi Institute of Science and Technology here, he pointed out that education was the only way to overcome the challenges faced by the society. Reflecting on the developments in the society, he pointed out that there were many civilizations which are living in harmony in India with Jews coming 2,600 years ago, Christians coming about 2,000 years ago and Muslims coming about 1,400 years ago.
Later, he took questions from students on varied subjects such as corruption, reservations, women empowerment, poverty, illiteracy and caste system and impressed the students with his realistic and sincere replies. SNIST Director Dr. P.Narasimha Reddy; founder members of Nidhi Club, Dileep Juluri, Raghavendra Mutalik and current President M.Rajarshi were present.
