Action has been taken to set up Science centres in Kanyakumari, Dharmapuri and Villupuram, according to Iyamperumal, Executive Director, Tamil Nadu Science and Technology Centre.
It is also planned to establish the science centre at Vattakottai near Kanyakumari on five acres at a cost of Rs 6.75 crore,he told reporters here.
He said for the past one month Jupiter has been clearly seen in the night and it looks very bright in the east of sky. It happens once in 398 days and next year in December, this will happen again.
He also said solar eclipse occurring next month cannot be visualised in India and the one next year 2012 can be seen in Northern states of the country.
