Scotland�s Saltire Scholarships:

Scottish Government holds the honor of funding Scotland�s Saltire Scholarships (SSS), managed by the contribution of British Council and the Higher Education Sector in Scotland. Since 2008 the SSS incorporates the �Scotland USA Graduate Scholarships� scheme. Scotland offers a number of prestigious scholarship grants to enable brilliant and talented young vocationals to study the postgraduate master�s degree from all the countries of the globe. The thrust of the university is to provide ground breaking opportunities to those pioneers and inventors who are devoted to novel and innovative researches in the field of life science, technology, finance services, creative industries, and renewable and clean energy. The scholarships are provided to the citizens of Canada, China, India, and United States of America. Scotland, a modern country famous for its history and traditions, now aims to be known for its excellent and outstanding academia in the international market of education. Since January 2009 the Scotland scholarships has awarded 400 scholarship grants

Eligibility for the Scotland�s Saltire Scholarships:

Candidate can be an aspirant of postgraduate, research postgraduate, taught postgraduate and undergraduate scholarship.
For graduate level scholarship, academically candidate should have achieved or expected to achieve a 2:1 Honours degree or UK first class.
Applicant should have completed his/her under graduation from the school of Scotland.
The scholarships are provided to the citizens of Canada, China, India, and United States of America

Value of Scotland�s Saltire Scholarships:

The scholarships are meant to enhance and develop the interest of aspiring scholars in the field in science, technology, energy resources, and financial services.
Some more areas are given priority in the list like arts and humanities, communications, media and culture, architecture, designing, music and the performing arts, and physical and life sciences. .
Candidate�s social, cultural, political, and linguistic knowledge increases and attains broader perspective.
Candidate can have the privilege of work while study opportunity
Candidate gets a chance to explore new country, new skills, and new philosophy. Candidate�s career skill and dexterity develops.
A grant of amount $ 2,000 is provided to cover the tuition fee of the applicant.
Every year 200 scholarships are provided to the deserving candidates.

Deadline for Application:

The applications should reach to the office by the 17th of June. The nominations will be made by the end of July.

How to Apply Scotland�s Saltire Scholarships:

Applicant should meet the principals of SSS.

A carefully filled form should be emailed to [email protected] and also to Scholarships and Student Funding Services at the University of Edinburgh to [email protected]. The email should address the name of the university you are applying for.

Before applying for the scholarship grant, apply to the University for the Availability of a place in the prospected course. If the place is granted, you are eligible to apply for the SSS grant.
