The worlds first club came into being on 23rd of February 1905 in Chicago by lawyer Paul P. Harris and his three friends. The main objective of Rotary is to provide altruistic service in the community, in the place of work, and in the world. The aim of Population Leadership Program( PLP) sponsored by Rotary International is to bring together the professional of various countries especially developing countries and provide them an opportunity to expand their leadership expertise and striving effort to solve the problems related to population, HIV/AIDS, family planning, and reproductive health at the all the geographical areas. The foundation believes that through adequate knowledge and education the future leaders can bring positive radical change in the society.
The main aim of the candidate should be to serve the country and the countries of the globe. Rotary volunteer should believe in peace, provide humanitarian services devoid of caste, creed, religion, and geographical difference. Diligent member should have courage to face the hardships of life and willing to execute operation beneficial for mankind. Candidate should have demonstrated his responsibility in the area of work.
The awardees can avail this scholarship for a period of 2 years and can be extended for another 2 years.

Candidate can also fill online form and return it to Rotary International World Headquarters; Secretariat staff will then deliver it the relevant fellowship.
The PLP fellowship operates independently of Rotary international.
