Scholarship Field:
The Oxford and Cambridge Society of India Scholarships are part-cost awards for undergraduate, second undergraduate, graduate study and research in any subject available at the Universities of Cambridge and Oxford, UK.
Scholarship Sponser:
The Scholarship is named in honor of Manmohan Singh, a former student of the College and Former Prime Minister of India, who is widely acknowledged as the architect of the economic reforms that have helped propel India onto the world stage.
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a citizen of India
- Must
be
not
more
than
30
years
of
age
on
1
September
of
the
year
of
application
for
the
award Must
be
a
graduate
of
an
Indian
university
(applicants
who
are
expected
to
graduate
in
the
year
of
the
award
are
also
eligible
to
apply
for
the
awards) Must
have
applied
for
and
secured
admission
to
study
a
full-�-time
course
at
the
University
of
Cambridge
or
the
University
of
Oxford.
Candidates
are
required
to
present
proof
of
admission
before
grant
of
the
scholarship,
and
proof
of
having
taking
up
residence
at
Cambridge
or
Oxford
before
the
scholarships
funds
would
be
released.
- Fluent in spoken and written English. Able to fulfill any other admission criteria laid down by the university. Holding a Master�s (postgraduate) degree from a reputed/recognized Indian university/institution with a First Class award (UG and PG) in the relevant subject/field. Evidence of leadership qualities (to be assessed from personal statements e.g. extracurricular activities and/or evidence of having made a difference to the country/society/participation in symposia in the relevant subject, or peer reviewed publication in the area)
