The De Souza Trust Goa Scholarship was introduced in 1998 aimed for providing financial assistance to young and self motivated people who wish to study in UK. It is basically funded from Mr. Diego Frank de Souza estate. It is meant for the people who reside in Goa or holding domicile of Goa.
Since the introduction of the De Souza Trust Goa Scholarship in 1998, several students of Goa have completed their studies successfully in different fields such as Architecture, Education, Media Management, Fashion Technology, TV Documentary, Computing & Design, and Architectural Conservation, Human Rights along with Music Therapy, Signal Processing, Communication Systems and Innovation Technology & Law.
In application form you are required to submit the 2 personal statements of both 150 words which is also one part of the application process. In first Statement you should brief about your ambitions and career plans but under the limit of 150 words. In the second one you should brief about the application of your experience and knowledge with regard to work after returning to home country. This should also be written under 150 words.
Along with this candidates are required to send the following things.
Candidates may apply online also, but in this case they will receive the reference number in their e-mail id which you have mention in the application form. This reference number should be mentioned in the subject line of id when the candidates are applying online.
The other way is that you can easily download the application form and e-mail all the necessary documents. Those who are not applying online should send all the necessary documents along with the concerned address mentioned in the application form with the time and date mentioned.
The applications for the people will be rejected if they fail to submit the required documents and those who are considered they will be shortlisted for personal interview and also required to carry the important documents with them.
At the time of applying if the candidate is belong to Goan origin, he must carry a proof of birth certificate in which it is mentioned that he is born in goa or required a proof of applicant share in the ancestral property. On the other hand if the applicant is Goan domicile he is also required to carry any one of the important documents which includes copy of Domicile certificate, proof of residence for at least 10 years and proof of residence for at least 15 years.
