NTPC Scholarships

Introduction

NTPC is National Thermal Power Corporation Scholarships which was started with the main co-operation of National Thermal Power Corporation. It is considered as one of the biggest public sector enterprises in India which is engaged in power generation along with the construction of projects based on thermal power. Schedule caste, schedule tribes and physically challenged students are eligible for this type of scholarship along with those people who are pursuing Diploma course from an institute in engineering. The total number of scholarship around to 35 in which 20 are granted to schedule caste students, 10 to schedule tribes and remaining 5 scholarships to physically challenged students.

Eligibility for NTPC Scholarship

Candidates have to pass the exam of first year on regular with full time program on subjects of Electrical, Electronics along with Mechanical or Civil.
Candidates should have Diploma in Engineering.
Candidates should have a good academic background and should belong to schedule caste and schedule tribes only.
Candidates who are applying for scholarships have not received any grant or scholarship along with monetary assistance from any other.
Candidates applying for scholarship must belong to Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana or Chandigarh.

Duration For NTPC Scholarship

Scholarship is granted from second year till the completion of the program and it�s totally depends on the decision of the management. This scholarship is payable every month for the period of 2 years.

Benefits of scholarship

Scholarship amount of 1000 per month is granted to the students and this scholarship is remain valid for the students as they continue to perform better and maintains discipline during the course of the study.

Scope for vacancies in NTPC

Candidates who have gained the scholarship from NTPC are eligible for selection test for the vacancy of Diploma Trainees. Candidates who are selected for Diploma trainees will be provided training for a year in which they are also receiving stipend according to the rules and regulations of the company. Candidates who have successfully completed the training will be asked to join the company for 3 years.

Application Procedure For NTPC Scholarship

Candidates who are eligible for scholarship must have the application from the candidate in typed form having the signatures of the candidates with all the necessary information along with the recent photograph with all the necessary attestation. Applications should be sent to Liaison officer for Sc/St NTPC limited and it should be marked with NTPC scholarship for Schedule caste and Schedule Tribes.

Summary-NTPC Scholarships are granted to Schedule caste and schedule caste students who are pursuing the diploma course in engineering. There is some eligibility for applying for this scholarship which includes the main subjects� form which students is pursuing the course and should belong to mentioned state in the application form along with completion of 1st year.

Candidates should belong to schedule caste and schedule tribes along with a good academic background and have not received any grant or scholarship from any other institute. Candidates should get the grant of 1000 per month and will remain the same if the students continue with good performance in examinations along with maintaining discipline.

Students who have granted scholarship will also have a chance to apply for the selection test for the Diploma trainees in the company, if selected will be provided with training for one year. If the candidates have successfully completed the training then he will be appointed for a period of 3 years.
