Eligibility:

For application to the Lalit Kala Akademi Scholarships, the minimum and maximum age limits are 21 years and 35 years respectively. The applicant must have been working as artist for at least 5 years at the time of application if he/she is not having any formal qualification. Those undergoing regular studies or engaged in full time employment are not eligible for scholarship. The candidates are required to attach titles or details of maximum five photographs of art works or one published article (of 1000 to 1500 words), along with their application form. Such photographs of exhibits or published article will be the main basis, but not the only basis for selection.

Application Forms for the Lalit Kala Akademi Scholarships are available from all the regional centers of the Lalit Kala Akademi. They can also be downloaded from the Akademi's website. Advertisements for the Lalit Kala Akademi Scholarships are usually published in leading newspapers in the month of May / June every year. The filled in application forms are required to be submitted at the office of the Lalit Kala Akademi,New Delhi.
