The Lady Meherbai D Tata Scholarships are awarded by the Lady Meherbai D Tata Education Trust. The Trust was set up in the year 1932, by Sir Dorabji Tata, in the name of his deceased wife, Lady Meherbai Tata. These scholarships in social sciences aim to provide financial assistance to those women who wish to pursue higher studies and research work in social sciences abroad.
