The Civil Aviation Scholarship was instituted by the Government of India. The ethos of the scholarship was to give initiative to those deserving aspirants who belong to schedule caste or schedule tribe. The award of scholarship is granted to those candidates who are interested in the career in flying and helps them to acquire a Private Pilot�s License from flying club or flying school
Eligibility For Civil Aviation Scholarships of Govt. of India:
Applicant should fulfill the following conditions in order to avail the Civil Aviation Scholarship of the govt. of India:
- Applicant must have passed 10 + 2 with Mathematics and Physics as compulsory subjects
- Applicant must be Indian nationals
- Applicant must be aged between 17 to 20 years
- The family (parents/guardians) income can not be more than Rs.44, 500 per annum
Duration For Civil Aviation Scholarships of Govt. of India:
- It takes two years to complete the training for obtaining the Private Pilot's License
- The scholarship will be provided during this period according to the performance of the applicant.
- The amount of financial assistance under the scholarship covers living expenses for an amount of Rs.350/- per month for male applicant and Rs.450/ per month for female applicant. This amount can be extended to 15 months at the most
- Expenses incurred for obtaining the license and for medical examination is paid for by the Government
- An yearly allowance of Rs.100/- towards purchase of books is provided under the scholarship
- An insurance premium up to Rs.10, 000/- will be covered under the scholarship during the period of training.
- Second class train fare incurred by the candidate while reporting for flying training.
