For the second consecutive year, the TOEFL(r) Scholarship Program recognised academic excellence by TOEFL test takers in India through an award ceremony and press conference on July 7.Presented by their Educational Testing Services (ETS), executive vice president and chief operating officer( ETS), Dr Walt Macdonald, announced the winners. ETS honoured nine high-performing students from India, awarding US$60,000 in scholarship funding for undergraduate or graduate study in 2011. Three US$10,000 scholarships were presented: one scholarship each for study in the UK, US and Canada. Six US$5,000 scholarships were also presented - one scholarship each for study in the UK, US, and Canada, and three scholarships for any other location. "It is a privilege to be in Mumbai today to celebrate the significant accomplishments of the 2011 TOEFL Scholarship Winners," commented MacDonald. The 2011 TOEFL Scholarship Program like every year was extremely competitive this year as well.
