The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) is offering scholarships for Indian students to pursue higher studies in Germany. The 'DAAD Postgraduate Courses for Professionals with Relevance to Developing Countries' is being offered for a postgraduate course in select subjects at select German universities. Eligibility criterion is graduation (four-year degree awarded not more than three years ago) in any discipline with minimum two years of relevant work experience. The deadline for submission of applications is July 31.
The 'DAAD Master's Scholarship for Public Policy and Good Governance (PPGG) Objective' is offered for a Master's degree at one of the selected German Universities. Graduates from related disciplines are eligible to apply (deadline for applications is July 31 at DAAD office, New Delhi).
The 'DAAD PhD/sandwich/short term/post-doc scholarships' is offered to students to do a PhD at one of the German universities or research institution. Registered PhD students at an Indian university /institute can carry out research for their PhD thesis in India and in Germany under the joint supervision of an Indian and a German professor.
Postgraduates from any discipline or scholars registered for their PhD (in any discipline) at universities or research institutes in India (sandwich and short-term ), or teachers and scientists at Indian universities and research institutions from any discipline are eligible to apply (deadline for submission of applications is October 1, at DAAD office, New Delhi).
The 'DAAD Conflict Studies and Management Programme (CSMP)' is offered in the areas of international relations, peace and conflict studies/war studies or other relevant programmes with concentrations in conflict studies or regions or with at least two years of practical experience in the field (deadline for submission of applications is July 31 at DAAD office, New Delhi).
