Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda has decided to institute `merit scholarships' for its ranker students from this academic year (2013-14), said Vice Chancellor Prof Yogesh Singh here.
In the three-year undergraduate degree programmes, the 1st, 2nd and 3rd ranker students will be given cash scholarships of Rs 5,000, Rs 4,000 and Rs 3,000 respectively, while in the two years post-graduate degree programmes, the 1st and 2nd rankers will be given Rs 5,000 and Rs 4,000 respectively.
