USIEF Fellowship for school teachers: International leaders in education programme


United States-India Educational Foundation (USIEF) has announced the 2012 International Leaders in Education Programme (ILEP) for secondary-level (classes IX to XII) school teachers, teaching English, social studies, mathematics and science at schools in the states of Bihar, NCT of Delhi, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and all Union Territories in the Northern India. This US government sponsored programme provides international teachers with opportunities to develop expertise in their subject areas, enhance their teaching skills and increase their knowledge about the United States. ILEP consists of a semester-long non-degree , non-credit academic programme at a US University including seminars on new teaching methodologies, curriculum development, lesson planning and teaching strategies. Selected Indian teachers will receive round-trip transportation, room and board and applicable allowances and will travel on J 1 visas. Application deadline is March 1, 2012. III JAWAHARLAL NEHRU AWARD FOR INTERNATIONAL UNDERSTANDING - DR ANGELA MERKEL SCHOLARSHIP: MASTER'S SCHOLARSHIP FOR EUROPEAN LAW

Highly qualified graduates with a first university degree in law (Bachelor or equivalent), can apply for a Master's degree (LLM) in European Law at one of the selected German Universities. Applications and relevant documents have to be submitted at the DAAD office in New Delhi at the following address: German Academic Exchange Service, 2, Nyaya Marg Chanakyapuri, New Delhi 110 021. Deadline: October 31.

II DAAD MASTER'S SCHOLARSHIP FOR PUBLIC POLICY AND GOOD GOVERNANCE (PPGG)

Well qualified graduates from focus related disciplines can apply for a Master's degree at one of the selected German Universities with the following focus areas: public policy, good governance, international relations, public management, administration, civil society. The application submission process is online. The link is available on the website www.daaddelhi.org. The deadline for submission of applications is July 31 at DAAD New Delhi Office.
