For the third consecutive year, the Educational Testing Service (ETS) has announced the launch of the TOEFL scholarship progrramme. Created specifically for Indian students, under this programme, 10 scholar-ships valued at approximately USD 70,000, will be awarded to students.
Scholarship funding can be applied to either undergraduate or graduate study for the 2012 academic year. Of the 10 scholarships, four of them amounting to USD 10,000 will be granted for study at a college or university located in Australia, Canada, United Kingdom or the United States of America.
The rest six scholarships amounting to USD 5,000 will be granted for study at any college or university listed in the TOEFL destinations directory.
"For the third year in a row, we are pleased to offer the TOEFL scholarship program in India as it is distinctly aligned with our mission of advancing ac-cess to high-quality education worldwide," Walt MacDonald, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, ETS, said.

For nearly 50 years, the TOEFL test has been the most widely accepted English-language assessment in the world. The TOEFL test is recognised by more than 8,000 institutions in more than 130 countries.
