Parents of students who appeared for the CBSE Class X exams this year are a worried lot as schools have still not received their original marksheets, which are required to apply for junior college admissions. The state board will allow only those students who gave the CBSE board exams.
“We have tried contacting the CBSE several times but haven’t got any intimation about the marksheets,” said Seema Maindiratta, principal of DAV School in Kharghar.
Worried parents have been rushing to schools as well as CBSE officials, but to no avail. “My son has scored 93% in his board exams but now we are worried that even after giving the boards, he won’t be allowed to apply for junior colleges,” said a parent.
