SSC results tomorrow

Updated on: Friday, June 17, 2011

The long wait is set to come to an end for lakhs of SSC students. For, the Maharashtra board will announce the SSC results at 01:00 pm on Friday. And, once again this year, the results will be declared online and no toppers will be announced. Instead, subject-wise toppers will be announced after 10 days. Though board officials were planning to announce the results at least a week earlier than last year, it would now happen on the same date as 2010. “A proper schedule of assessment has to be followed as we don’t want any problems after the results are announced. We are happy that we could announce the results as early as possible,” said Ujjwaladevi Patil, board chairperson, Pune.

Last year, the SSC results were delayed since at the last moment, the board decided to declare them based on the Best-5 system. Sources in the education board pointed out that this was the same reason why the results took time this year as well. A total of 3.55 lakh students appeared for the exams this year, of whom 1.71 lakh were from the Mumbai division, 1.44 lakh from Thane and 40, 297 from Raigad. “Students should not worry about anything as everybody will get what he/ she deserves. Even college admissions will be smooth this year. Students can collect their original marksheets from their respective schools on June 27,” said Ravindra Bhise, SSC board secretary, Mumbai region.

Students can view their results on http://mahresult.nic.in, www.msbshse.nic.in or www.mh-ssc.ac.in. Students can also type in MHSSC <Seat No> and send it to 08800654242 and BSNL users can type MHSSC <Seat No> and send it to 57766 and get their marks on their mobiles. Those who want to send in their papers for re-assessment can do so by applying to the board office in Vashi after receiving their original marksheets. Those who want to appear for the re-examinations in October will have to touch base with their school authorities by June 7 with the fees.
