The Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) have received 20 applications for revaluation from candidates not satisfied with their scores in the joint entrance exam this year. This is the first time the candidates have been given the option to apply for revaluation. What curtailed the huge flow of revaluation applications was the joint admission board’s decision to put up scanned copies of answer script of all students who sat for the test this year.
All 13, 602 qualified candidates will have to send the required documents like the OBC declaration certificate with the income certificate, SC/ ST certificate, to the zonal IIT. Counselling for all students will be conducted online this year and each student will have to deposit Rs 1, 000. Candidates need to fill their choice of courses and institutes by June 17 (05:00 pm). “The first seat allotment list would be put out on June 21,” said IIT officials. The second list would be out on July 6.
