Boys have cornered top ranks in the Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted by the Cochin University of Science and Technology.
Joseph J Kunnathoor and Krishna Dutt of Kottayam bagged the first and second ranks while Daniel George, a resident of Ernakulam, won the third rank.
Vice Chancellor Ramachandran Thekkedath said that the results would be available on www.cusat.nic.in from 5 p.m. onwards on Tuesday. He said that the university has plans to start the B. Tech classes by July 4.
Sunil. K Narayanankutty, Director of International Relations and Academic Admissions (IRAA) unit at the university, said that online option registration will begin one week after the publication of the results of the CBSE and plus two examinations.
He said that the proposed plan is to hold the trial allotment on May 10. The first allotment will be on May 23. The second and third round of allotments will be held on June 3 and 17. Centralised admission process will be held on the main campus of the university at Thrikkakara on May 30, 31, and June 13, 14, 23 and 24.
The university authorities said that 33,192 students had appeared for the test held on April 2 and 3. More than 5,600 students had applied for admission to the postgraduate programmes.
Results of the test for postgraduate programmes will be published on the university website on Wednesday. Results of those courses for which admission is based on interview and group discussion will be published only after the completion of these procedures.
